Liberated Black Futures is a recurring creative workshop series designed to challenge Black folks to think beyond the limitations we’re socialized to believe, and imagine a new future for ourselves, our families, and our communities. No two sessions are the same; each session encourages to focus on a different area of our lives.
This time we’re imaging what families that sustain and encourage look like. What if our families could be our first opportunity to dream collaboratively? What if we all had the opportunities to be born into homes that could teach us unconditional love and support us and our dreams at inception? Family doesn’t necessarily mean the one we are born into, it is something that we shape for ourselves.
Prior attendees have left with a deeper understanding of themselves, and a stronger commitment to their self-work, and a community to grow and dream with.
You Had Me at Black is reclaiming the Black narrative by passing a mic to everyday people to share their true-life stories in their own words on our podcast and storytelling kick-backs. Listen here.
